Founded in 1997 by dentist Dr Anthony Lovat BDS., OPRO has grown from a British innovation company into one of the world’s leading names in sports mouthguard protection. From our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire, England, we design and develop advanced mouthguard technology trusted by everyone from grassroots athletes to world champions.
Today, more than 10 million athletes worldwide have worn OPRO protection, including competitors across rugby, MMA, boxing, hockey, wrestling, taekwondo, and many of the world’s most demanding contact sports.

The achievement continues a rare legacy of innovation leadership. OPRO previously received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation in both 2007 and 2019, meaning the business has now been recognised with the UK’s highest honour for business innovation across three separate decades.
