OPRO are immensely proud to be supporting the NHS and their heroic front line medical staff caring for COVID-19 patients.

We are supporting our fellow Queen’s Award winner, Photocentric, by loaning them our cutting edge 3D printers to enable them to be used solely for the printing of face shields.

These face shields are essential for our courageous medics, by protecting them, whilst treating patients, from potential virus-containing droplets released through coughing and sneezing.

Due to the shortages of protective equipment in our hospitals, we’re delighted to be able to work together to produce 20,000 protective shield parts each day and play our part to help the NHS save lives.

Company founder, Dr. Anthony Lovat, provides his views:

“Like many people, I have watched the COVID-19 crisis unfold and have been moved by the selflessness of our NHS. We have been working with Photocentric for 18 months now and when Paul Holt contacted me to ask if we would loan them our suite of 3D printers to assist with the mass scale printing of protective face-shield parts for front line medics, I said ‘yes’ without hesitation. Right now it is incumbent upon all of us to help out however we can and I’m delighted that we at OPRO can play our part in supporting the NHS save lives."
