FIGHT FOR PEACE PARTNERS WITH LEADING MOUTHGUARD BRAND, OPRO

Fight for Peace is proud to announce a new partnership with OPRO, one of the world’s leading mouthguard brands. Together, we have designed a limited-edition collection of mouthguards tailored to the needs of our competitive athletes, ensuring both protection and performance at the highest level.

OPRO is the official mouthguard partner of a number of professional sporting organisations, including England Rugby, New Zealand Rugby, Wales Rugby, GB Taekwondo, GB Hockey, the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), so we were excited when Fight for Peace Partnerships Executive, Kenny Udenwoke announced this new working relationship. Given this extensive expertise in athlete safety, we are thrilled to join forces with them.

"It’s been a pleasure working with OPRO on developing our new mouthguards. The attention to detail in their products has been impressive, and we are excited to bring the Fight for Peace brand to life with these limited-edition mouthguards,” Kenny shared.

“We are especially excited about the upcoming content day in May, where we’ll capture the moment when our athletes receive their new mouthguards, have them moulded, and put them to use in training and sparring. It’s a milestone for us,” he continued.

“What drew me to OPRO was their commitment to athlete safety and the shared values of both our organisations. As a sport for development organisation, particularly in combat sports, it’s crucial we ensure our young athletes are equipped with the best protection possible. This partnership helps to provide that peace of mind, allowing our athletes to focus on their training and competition without the worry of injury. It’s one less thing to think about as they work toward becoming champions, both in the ring and in life."

Since 2007, we have been empowering young people from our Academy in Newham though our Five Pillars approach, combining Boxing & Martial Arts, Employability, Education, Support Services and Youth Leadership. However, our reach extends beyond the local community.

We do this by focusing on three strategic areas to ensure that we maximise our reach and impact – Academies, Alliance and Collectives. Through our Academies in London and Rio de Janeiro, by training, and exchanging skills, knowledge and support with member organisations in the Fight for Peace Alliance, and by bringing together a range of actors, services and organisations in support of young people across communities via our Collectives in Newham, east London and Kingston, Jamaica.

Central to this work is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our athletes, which is why this partnership with OPRO is so fitting. Fight for Peace uses combat sports, including Boxing, MMA, and muay thai, as powerful tools for positive youth development.

Renowned for its groundbreaking work in the field of oral protection, OPRO's mouthguards are CE certified and have received multiple accolades, including the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2007 and 2019. This commitment to innovation and safety was a key factor in Fight for Peace’s decision to partner with OPRO. While branding the mouthguards with our identity is exciting, the true value lies in OPRO’s dedication to providing the level of protection which ensures athletes the best chance to succeed and thrive.

“At OPRO, we are passionate about protecting athletes at every level and of all backgrounds. It’s an honour to partner with Fight for Peace — an organisation that shares our values of empowerment, resilience, and excellence. We are proud to provide world-class protection to support the incredible young athletes at Fight for Peace as they build bright futures both in sport and beyond.” - Daniel Lovat, Co-Managing Director at OPRO.

We look forward to showcasing the collaboration through a series of social media content across both OPRO and Fight for Peace’s platforms. In May, we will come together for a special content day, where OPRO’s content team will work alongside Fight for Peace’s Young Creatives to capture the moment athletes receive their exclusive mouthguards and experience the full moulding process.

The collaboration will culminate in the release of exciting, behind-the-scenes footage that amplifies the importance of safety and preparation in creating champions.

Be sure to stay tuned to Fight for Peace and OPRO’s social media channels for exclusive content throughout May, building up to our next Fight for Peace home boxing show on Friday 23rd May.
